The NSF Big Data innovation Hubs organised the interactive workshop entitled “Trans-Atlantic Symposium on Public Private Partnerships for Big Data Research and Innovation and Workforce Development” on November 19-20, 2017 in Versailles.
This workshop was held in conjunction with the European Big Data Value Forum 2017, Big Data Value Association, PICASSO Project and INRIA. The main aim of the workshop was to bring together academic and industry actors from United States (US) and the European Union (EU) with the objective to jointly discuss about the Big Data Science Research and Innovation ongoing efforts.
The 23rd BDVA Activity Group Meeting has been held on the 13th and 14th of December in Brussels.
Over 70 participants from BDVA Members discussed and brainstormed about key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Platforms, Big Data Technologies, GDPR implementation, Data Privacy, Technology integration (Big Data, HPC, IoT), Mobility and Transport, Big Data in the GeoSpatial and Earth Observation domain.
The next Activity Group meeting is scheduled on the 31st January (afternoon only) and 1st February 2018.
