The SYNERGY project started in January 2020 with funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme.
The SYNERGY project will implement data-driven innovation and collaboration potential, across currently diversified and fragmented electricity actors. SYNERGY will provide a platform that will act as a multiplier of the “combined” data-value that can be acquired, shared, and traded.
A new approach is proposed that focuses on real-time data sharing against traditionally bilateral contracting applied in the electricity sector. This innovative approach will enable holistic optimization of the operation of electricity networks and the energy performance of their constituent components (RES plants, buildings, districts).
The holistic and collaborative approach in the SYNERGY project comes as a response to the need for “end-to-end” coordination between the electricity sector stakeholders – not only in business terms but also in exchanging information between them.
