The SPECIAL project addresses the conflict between Big Data innovation and privacy-aware data protection by proposing a technical solution that makes both of these goals realistic. SPECIAL allows citizens and organisations to share more data, while guaranteeing data protection compliance and transparency. The first seven deliverables of Special project have been published on the project website! More info and the description of the deliverables are available here.

Special is also requesting contributions for a workshop on ‘Data Privacy Controls and Vocabularies’, which they are organizing in cooperation with W3C. The workshop will take place at the WU Vienna on 7 & 8 March 2018. The main workshop theme is ‘Linked Data and Privacy’. The deadline for Position Statements is January, 15th. More information and registration forms can be found here.
