PILOT PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This trial is aiming at the improvement of the intra-logistics process planning by providing the opportunity of exploring process simulation in a 3D environment thus, assisting on a more informed and concise decision making, during the planning and implementation phase of vital projects. Additionally, this feature firmly establishes a solid platform for process optimization, especially for such a complex and intricate ecosystem, like the intra-logistics processes of an automotive plant.
This trial will also aim at the study of the vast data sources linked to the process hence, providing the opportunity to link the different data silos with bidirectional communications. This task consists in harvesting, connecting and studying the data of the different data silos installed in each step of the process.
With this context, the studied data will be fed into the 3D simulation environment allowing the creation of a digital twin which will in turn, enable the exploration of sets of algorithms to assist the process and start the integration of adaptive and predictive features.
OBJETIVE OF THE PILOT
The goal of this project is to implement autonomous, predictive and adaptive features in the logistics processes with smart communications between each machine in an industry environment with non-stop cycles and with high up times. In the end, the desirable target is to transform an environment overwhelmed with manual complex processes with one that brings modular flexibility, efficiency and transparency.
KPIS AND METRICS
The main KPIs of the pilot are:
- Increase plant sustainability by reducing logistics costs
- Increase efficiency with a 10% reducing in idling time
- 10% reduction in total cost of ownership (stock)
- 15% reduction of time to market of a new product
