For the past years, the Geospatial World Forum (GWF) has become a unique annual geospatial industry platform that brings together professionals and leaders representing the entire geospatial ecosystem. Among the conference’s panel discussions this year, the Topio Market platform was introduced by the Opertus Mundi project´s communication responsible Ms. Kathrin Lenvain as part of the “Collaborative Opportunities for Space Infrastructure & Geospatial Value Chain” session. The discussion pointed to the need for such a platform in Europe as it aims to be an additional distribution channel, help companies grow and access to other spatial sectors worldwide as well as aid them tap into new revenue streams. The panel also discussed how geospatial and space data benefit each other with the illustration of two successful start-ups: ConstellR and Planblue.
