MARVEL project is running experiments to learn how to recognise crowd behaviour in public spaces with real-time data. The way people move can give out potential dangers, such as emerging fights or car accidents. For example, in mass events, recognising these dangerous situations can help police and ambulance arrive on-site faster.
The project is running the experiments in three different cities. Crowd behaviour and event monitoring are the key focus of the experiment in Novi Sad. Public space monitoring for suspicious situations is the key focus of the experiment in Trento. More about the 3rd experiment in the city of Malta is coming soon!
