The Digital Opportunity traineeship initiative will provide cross-border traineeships for up to 6,000 students and recent graduates between 2018 and 2020. The aim is to give students of all disciplines the opportunity to get hands on digital experience and ICT in fields demanded by the market such as cybersecurity, big data, quantum technology and machine learning or boost digital skills for business in areas like web design, digital marketing, and software development.
Interested students and recent graduates can apply through their university, according to the timing and mechanisms established by the university for Erasmus+ traineeships.

The 23rd BDVA Activity Group Meeting has been held on the 13th and 14th of December in Brussels.
Over 70 participants from BDVA Members discussed and brainstormed about key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Platforms, Big Data Technologies, GDPR implementation, Data Privacy, Technology integration (Big Data, HPC, IoT), Mobility and Transport, Big Data in the GeoSpatial and Earth Observation domain.
The next Activity Group meeting is scheduled on the 31st January (afternoon only) and 1st February 2018.
