The third and final DMS Bootcamp took place at the end of November. Eight of the fifty selected startups (from the third cohort) participated in this physical event. More startups were looking forward to coming but were prevented from doing so due to the current health situation.
These innovative startups were selected because of their involvement and success within the program after six months of acceleration. Over two days, these companies enjoyed several workshops and meetings with the other startups, mentors, and growth experts.
The event took place in Madrid, on the rooftop of the WPP Campus on November 24 and 25, 2021 and it was organized by DMS Accelerator, born in 2019, under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, aiming at overcoming the barriers of data-centrics SMEs and startups in Europe. DMS Accelerator is a team of investors, coaches, consultants, lawyers, researchers, and communicators, selected from top partners, joining skills and knowledge for the next best startups in Europe.
On the 1st day, the attendees were able to enjoy a small breakfast to start the day off right. And… a surprise gift box! All participants received DMS goodies: a comfy hoodie, a heavy-duty bag, a small notebook (full of stars), a cute candle, a few stickers for their laptops and a nice postcard from Madrid.
Then, María Anguiano, DMS Accelerator coordinator, welcomed all the startups by reviewing the 2021 DMS services.
3rd DMS Bootcamp agenda
In the first workshop organized by Ogilvy, the startups learnt about creating a Social Media Content Strategy. This same day, the ERCIM workshop on “Standards and Legal” took place, followed by TNW “Peer learning session”, a dynamic workshop where the startups filled the walls of the room with coloured sticky notes.
In addition, throughout the day, the DMS Bootcamp participants had the opportunity to follow different tutorials. We also took advantage of their presence to record different interviews that will be shared soon.
The first day ended with some after-work snacks so that startups and partners could have informal discussions in a relaxed way.
On the 2nd Bootcamp day, the event started early with startups having their 1-to-1 sessions with the DMS partners from 8:30 am! And then it was time for Spinlab’s workshop that revealed the magic behind sales. And also from Spherik and VC / Angel Investment. Very informative Bootcamp!
After a short coffee break, IPtector gave its IP Workshop where startups did not stop asking questions. And as a final touch, BrightPixel prepared a Pitch to investors with a feedback session.
Well, an event full of new knowledge for our startups.
The event was closed with a small meeting in the common area, where the organizers delivered a diploma to each attendee.
The third Bootcamp has come to an end, and DMS Accelerator is almost there too, but they still have to share with you the success stories of the startups! Soon in DMS Accelerator social media channels.
