Next February 15th the third Open Call will be launched to select 50 European data-centric SMEs and Startups to enjoy this support and accelerate their businesses.

With the aim of transforming the European data market, the Data Market Services Accelerator (DMS Accelerator) project will launch its third call to select the most promising data-centric SMEs and Startups.

During a 6-month acceleration programme, 50 selected startups will receive training in key topics such as GDPR, Intellectual property, investment matchmaking & fundraising, legal training, and more. All the training sessions are delivered by leading experts in their fields, from all corners of Europe. On February 15th the third and last open call will be open, and new startups can apply to this programme.

In the past two years, DMS has received more than 350 applications from European startups and SMEs.

The 50 lucky selected startups will receive training and mentoring without having to move to another city or country. Additionally, during the six months of intensive online learning and growth, the most active startups will receive invitations to promote themselves in the best European startup events (mostly virtual because of the pandemic) and thus, increase the interaction with potential partners and investors.

The acceleration process will end with a final event in which the most successful startups of the programme will have access to 3 days of networking activities, exclusive mentoring with experts, group training, 1 to 1 sessions on legal issues and GDPR, as well as the possibility of being in contact with investors and pitch in front of them.

The project is led by ZABALA Innovation Consulting (an international company headquartered in Spain and Brussels) that is in charge of the planning and execution of a set of defined services oriented to data SMEs and start‐ups with the collaboration of different partners: accelerators and incubators: Bright Pixel (Portugal), Spherik (Romania), Spinlab (Germany), The Next Web (The Netherlands); communication Agency: Ogilvy (Spain); Research Universities: Southampton University and King’s College of London; Intellectual property and standardisation: IPTECTOR (Denmark) and W3C (through ERCIM in France).

DMS Accelerator supports ambitious data-centric companies and paves the way for data transparency across Europe. To keep up to date on the activity of this year’s DMS2021 cohort, follow DMS on Linkedin, Twitter or check out the DMS Website.
