DataPicth: Understanding the Legal Landscape

One of the barriers to data sharing is a fear of legal complications. At Data Pitch we worked closely with startups and providers to understand the challenges they face and to help overcome them. Most data-led startups are too small to have legal resources in-house and do not feel able to confidently negotiate and draw up legal contracts. Larger organisations are often reluctant to share data due to a lack of understanding and a fear of repercussions if the data were to be misused.
