Our MSc Big Data Analytics programme is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the new field of big data analytics from a computing perspective. Data is being generated on an exponential scale by individuals and organisations. Valuable insights can be drawn from this data to inform strategic decisions, resulting in increased market share, profitability, possible cost savings and procedural efficiency. You will develop a critical understanding of the contemporary tools, techniques and models used for big data analytics.

Databases for Enterprise;

Big Data Management;

Data Mining;

Web/Social Media Analytics and Visualisation;

Applicants are expected to have obtained an Honours degree in a technology-related subject, with at least a 2:2 (Second Class) classification. Students with a business or management degree will be considered, if there has been a substantial element of computing within the degree programme. Students who do not hold the standard entry requirements may be considered for admission provided they can demonstrate that their qualifications and/or industrial experience are equivalent.
