The project’s session “Improving healthcare through big data. Last findings of BigMedilytics” gathered more than 120 attendees interested in knowing the current status of some of the pilots. The session was chaired by Alexandra Muñoz, science communicator at INCLIVA, who introduced the project goals, and featured the participation of Wiebke Düttmann-Rehnolt, M.D. at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin; Dimitrios Vogiatzis, a research associate at NCSR “Demokritos”, and Georg Langs, chief scientist and co-founder at contextflow, who offered an overview and demo of the pilots on Kidney disease, Lung cancer, and Radiology workflows respectively.
The BigMedilytics project was widely represented at the European Big Data Value Forum 2020 that took place virtually between the 3rd and the 5th of November 2020 under the theme “Building a strong European Data and AI Ecosystem”. The project was one of the sponsors of the event, had a booth, and organized its own session on the 5th of November. Moreover, BigMedilytics was presented in the Health Main session on the same day and during the AI in Healthcare session on the 4th of November.
