DataBench project announced the first Virtual BenchLearning session: “Big Data – Benchmark your way to excellent business performance” that will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00CEST by Gabriella Cattaneo, associate vice president of the IDC4EU European Government Consulting unit; representative of IDC in the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), and part of the DataBench project consortium.
In this 45-minute session, participants will be able to understand how different industries implement Big Data Technologies and benchmarking activities for measuring business-related KPIs, based on the survey conducted by IDC to 700 European companies from different sectors.

This is the first session of a series targeting Benchmarking Communities, ICT-14 and ICT-15 projects, the BDVA community and people interested in Big Data and benchmark, where the project intends to present its results in relation to the research of Big Data Technologies and benchmark application on EU-industries, and the development of the final release of the DataBench Toolbox that will include different tools allowing different types of users to register, execute and consult Big Data benchmarks to measure technical performance while obtaining relevant business-related KPIs and information.
