After 18 months of work, BDVe project, the Coordination and Support Action of the Big Data Value PPP, presented its achievements during the first review of the project, a meeting that took place last 14th of September in Brussels.

Through an intensive session, work packages and task leaders presented their main objectives, achievements and future steps as contributions to a global storyline that started at the beginning of 2017 with 16 projects on-board, and that will involve around 45 at the beginning of 2019.

Different challenges, such as the outreach to different communities, the needed scalability to accommodate the increasing number of projects in the different strategies and a special focus to policies and regulations were tackled during the meeting, with valuable feedback from both the reviewers and the European Commission.

The detailed results from the review will be known in the upcoming weeks, and will be taken into account for the planning of following actions. Meanwhile, we are not stopping our effort by supporting daily the ongoing projects, and we are impatient to welcome the third wave to grow the community. To know more and to spread the world about your (new) projects and plans, we are inviting you to join us at our next stop: the European Big Data Value Forum 2018, 12-14 November, Vienna. Registration is open!
