The Big Data Value Ecosystem Project (BDVe) participated in one of the most relevant technology events in the world: the South Summit. The BDVe project shared a booth with DataPitch and the European Data Incubator, two other H2020 projects focusing on Big Data and Data Driven economy. It resulted to be an excellent opportunity to engage with many visitors and to disseminate the value proposition of the Big Data Value ecosystem, as well as explaining how the ecosystem can bring research and business opportunities to all types of European entities. This year´s participation also resulted in meetings with potential investors focused on the data-driven economy. A close follow up will be carried out to bring together investors and startups from DataPitch, EDI and other incubators.

As part of the event, Prof. Dr. Sonja Zillner from SIEMENS, Chief Editor of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agendas of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, was invited to join the panel “What scope of AI is most interesting for businesses?”.
