The Advisory Board of the BDVe project arranged their first face to face meeting during the European Big Data Value Forum 2017, at Inria headquarter, in Versailles.
The agenda of the meeting proposed to review the four pillars of the project (impact, ecosystem, skills and marketing). Members of the board provided useful insights and fruitful advices about the general aspects of the strategy and proposed some alternative ways to explore. Among them, it is worth pointing out the opportunity window for BDV PPP to shine worldwide establishing relationships between EU, US but also Asia to propose a complementary innovation and governance model to the one established by the GAFA based on their customers’ dataset.
Finally, it was highlighted the role of the board as ambassadors and advocates of the initiatives engaged by the BDVe, but also of the whole ecosystem around the BDV PPP.
