European Innovation Spaces (BDVA i-Spaces) are cross-organisational and cross-sectorial environments allowing Big Data challenges to be addressed in an interdisciplinary way and serving as European hubs for research and innovation activities.

They are one of the four pillars of the BDVA Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda.

The Big Data Value Association grants a label for European Innovation Spaces to help drive forward Big Data adoption across all domains within European industry. The i-Space label is well recognised as a quality label on a European level. It benchmarks the different initiatives through five selective categories. The label which is always granted on large European Big Data events creates visibility to the national efforts around Big Data.

The call 2017 is now open! Applications from both BDVA and not-BDVA members are welcome until September 15th. Granted labels will be announced during the European Big Data Value Forum i-Spaces ceremony (Versailles, Nov 21-23).
