The European Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition is a multi-stakeholder partnership involving Member States, companies, social partners, NGOs and educational establishments, to help meet the high demand for digital skills in Europe which are essential in today’s digital society and economy.
BDVA has officially become a member of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition as per December 1st, 2017.
The Coalition tackles digital skills gaps at all levels, from high-level information, communication and technology (ICT) specialist skills to the skills needed by all Europeans to live, work and participate in a digital economy and society. The aim is to ensure that everyone acquires the digital skills they need to remain productive and employable and included. Find more information about the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition here.
Digital Skills is an important pillar of the Big Data Value cPPP and it is also one of the strategic priorities of the Association as described in the BDV Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. BDVA supports and shares the goals of the Coalition as outlined in the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Members Charter and engages in giving its contribution to boost digital skills in Europe.
BDVA will also be present at the “Digital opportunities for Europe – Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Conference” taking place in Brussels on 7 December, participating in the panel on digital skills needed for the future and represented by its Vice-President Edward Curry (Insight)
