Eighteen companies from across Europe made their first appearance at the Data Pitch Kick Off event in London on Thursday 1 February where they pitched their ideas for the first time to an audience of partners and stakeholders.
The successful entries from the first open call propose diverse and innovative solutions to a range of industry challenges. They include diagnostics for male infertility, concierge services for local authorities, predictive maintenance for car repair shops and a machine learning tool to forecast retail trends.
The startups will now spend six months developing their concepts into sustainable business initiatives with finance, support and mentoring. You can read more about the selected startups for each category here. The second Data Pitch open call will be in summer 2018. Sign up for our newsletter to keep in touch and find out how to apply.
